My name is Jimmy Don Moore, I go by JD. (And no, I am not related to David J.Moore although we are longtime family friends) I’m a native Texan who just moved back home after 20 years in St. Croix, USVI and Tampa, Florida. I was born and raised out in West Texas. I have a business degree from Texas Tech and a Law Degree from the University of Houston. Although I don’t practice law, the legal education has sure helped me in business. I’ve been in real estate for ten years now and I’m a licensed Broker and Realtor in Texas and in Florida. My goal is to serve all of my clients just as I would my own family members, with excellence, honesty and good negotiating skills. My real estate certification as GRI (Graduate REALTOR Institute), education and experience level allows me to guide and assist my clients with a very high degree of professionalism. My son, Jaxon Pierce Moore, will be a freshman at Texas Tech in the fall of 2012, studying mechanical engineering with a minor in business. He’s currently finishing up his last year of high school in Dade City, Florida, just outside of Tampa. I moved back to Texas in the summer of 2011 in order to “beat him back home” and to get settled in with my new real estate business here in the Houston area. During my law school days at UH, I worked with David Moore’s father, Robert M Moore, as a law clerk. It was a great experience and I learned so much from Mr. Moore. I assisted him on a huge environmental lawsuit on West Galveston called the Fritofson case, which helped to save valuable wetlands and Native American burial grounds, including lands in Galveston that were first discovered by a small group of Europeans led by Captain Cabeza de Vaca. Mr. Moore is a real treasure to the Galveston and Houston areas where he continues to serve as an attorney and a community leader. I look forward to working with our team here at David J Moore Properties and to continue the excellence that David has brought to the real estate market here in the Houston area for the last 14 years.
